Nine Eleven 2005:
Immediately after the event I saw a photograph of an unperturbed city
employee working on his computer, oblivious to his surroundings. Only days
later I realised that this employee was really a statue. To me this statue
represented the New Yorker's ability to cope and survive
and years later I painted this picture.
